Section 8
The Richland Housing Authority's Section 8 Waiting List will open on April 3, 2006. Applications will only be accepted between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm (noon) Monday through Friday. Applications can be picked up at the Richland Housing Authority office located at 1215 Thayer Drive Richland, WA. The waiting list will close upon receipt of 300 completed applications.
Applicants MUST bring rental receipts and utility bills for the past 3 months documentation of ANY and ALL sources and amounts of income for ALL family members. Valid State issued picture ID for ALL adults, Birth Certificates for all minor children, and Social Security cards for ALL family members. If claiming a permanent disability, proof must be provided. ALL documents MUST BE dated within the last 60-days.
Applications WILL NOT be accepted without ALL the required documentation.
The Section 8 Program is a tenant-based program. The only requirement for this program is that the family be very-low income. With the Section 8 Program the participant finds their own housing and we pay a portion of the rent. Equal Housing Opportunity Agency
